I am really looking forward to this conference.

Even though I have been researching for years, there is always a new trick, search method, website or resource to find additional information about my family. Researching together helps all of us!!! See you in October!

The building has a ramp as well as steps to enter the building. Everything is on one floor, so no other steps to navigate. We will have signs out front to direct you to the driveway to use to get to the back of the building.

Do you have any photos you would like to share? I sure do!

This is my great grandfather, August Swanberg, a widow with his 4 children. Back left is Abraham Nicholas (he went by Nick), then Karl August (he went by Gus); front row is Lily and next to her is my grandfather, Andrew Swanberg. This photo is from around 1910 and colorized by MyHeritage.

A big thank you to the GFLI for helping us in the planning of our workshop. We could not have done what we have been able to accomplish without you!

A Note from the Author of Your Event: A Story to Be Told

Every event begins with a story — not just a date, a venue, or a guest count, but a feeling, a purpose, a moment worth remembering.

When I wrote Your Event: A Story to Be Told, I wanted to share more than planning tips. I wanted to give you a new way of thinking about celebrations, as intentional experiences where every detail supports the story you’re telling. From intimate gatherings to milestone moments, this book was created to help you plan with heart, clarity, and confidence.

If this book helps you slow down, dream bigger, or see your event through a more meaningful lens, then it has done exactly what it was meant to do.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your story. 🤍
